City of Georgetown,

Georgetown, Texas

Unlike many smaller Texas citites, Georgetown still has a great deal of historic architecture. To encourage the growth of businesses around the city square, Georgetown felt a citywide signage and wayfinding system was vitial.

Funded in part by a Highway Grant, the design challenge was to draw traffic off the interstate and heighten awareness of the Historic Downtown in the growing retirement community. The consensus of the City Wayfinding Team was to develop a simple, classic design wich would not compete with the existing architecture. The neural design provided enough flexibility for the sign system to be expanded thoughout the entire city.

Working with TXDOT each step of the way, the final design satisfied not only TXDOT construction specifications, but also created the visual continuity Georgetown needed.
